Greetings, I am called Yersinia Pestis. You can call me “the Doctor” or just “Doc”. Who I am is unimportant, but since you seem to have a fascination into origins; I will entertain you with mine. I was first known during the first great Pestilence of October 1347. The disease was rampant and many were infected. I have traveled and cured many afflictions. Since then, I have traveled looking for other great pestilences and practicing my art. Many have been cured, some partially, others did not survive. Such is the great mortality. There have been many ages where I was not needed, during those times I am home perfecting my cure and art. Humanity has become quite prone to pestilence and often ignores what is needed to stay healthy. That is when I appear again. Recently I have been chased by the SCP foundation, being caught a few times and held in a cell as a criminal. I do not know why, I only cure and wish no harm. They gave me a designation and called me 049 to say that I am a “Keter” class. I do not know what that means. They still hound my existence in an attempt to once again contain me. They do not treat me badly, however by keeping me in a cell I am unable to cure those who carry the pestilence. I can sense the disease and can cure it because I AM THE CURE.
